KEY SERVICES SUPPLIER FOR
COMMUNICATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Satellites play a key role in providing numerous services perceived as essential to modern life. Internet use is growing increasingly faster, thus underscoring the need for satellites to meet data demands. Only through satellite technology will it be possible to achieve universal connectivity, as terrestrial networks cannot reach all geographical and topographical situations; moreover, its deployment is too costly for a lot of emerging communities. Accordingly, the satellite is a key factor in the fight against the digital divide.
Satellite services have, therefore, become essential allies for telecommunications and audiovisual operators, as well as for those companies seeking high performance communications, security and reliability.

HISPASAT provides a wide gamut of solutions and services including: audiovisual content broadcasting and distribution, satellite broadband services and other added-value solutions for national governments, corporations and telecommunications operators in America, Europe and North Africa.
HISPASAT sees its function as a key factor in development and communications. Accordingly, it focuses its efforts on developing services that keep pace with the changing needs of its clients, always ensuring service quality, effectiveness and reliability with a view to creating added value for them while offering a sector distinguishing choice. Its high performance technologies enable it to respond quickly and flexibly to clients with a diverse range of profiles.
As a result, HISPASAT has an extensive client portfolio, among which there are large corporations, important TV platforms and some of the main international telecommunications operators, such as: Telefónica, RTVE, Media Networks, Oi, Claro TV, NOS, BT and MEO, among others.
HISPASAT HAS AN IMPORTANT FOOTING IN MARKETS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ATLANTIC.
HISPASAT is made up of companies with a presence in both Spain and Latin America, where its Brazilian subsidiary HISPAMAR is based.
HISPASAT provides its clients with satellite solutions and services that not only add value to their businesses, but respond to the challenges facing them.
A fact that can readily be attested to by the new services and solutions launched by the company in the course of 2017.
KA BAND: HIGH PERFORMANCE CONNECTIVITY AT COMPETITIVE PRICES
The new satellites, the Amazonas 5 and Hisapsat 36W-1r 2017 will enable it to offer connectivity services in several of the main countries in Central and South America over the satellite’s Ka band capacity.
In this way, access to internet will be made available via satellite to areas where the terrestrial infrastructure is either ineffective or highly precarious. Moreover, the Ka band can be efficiently used for public services, mobile phone backhaul, as well as for Internet of Things (IoT) applications, Smart Cities and connected cars, all of which are sectors on the rise and which require a reliable and robust infrastructure to become consolidated in the Latin American market.
INCREASED FACILITIES TO DISTRIBUTE 4K CONTENT
HISPASAT and Media Broadcast Satellite have expanded their services in the European, North African and Middle-Eastern (EMEA) market through a platform geared towards achieving maximum flexibility for 4K audiovisual content providers that want their signal carried more quickly and easily to the aforementioned regions. .
ACCESSIBLE VOICE, DATA AND IoT SERVICES
Together HISPASAT and hiSky have reached an agreement to provide services in remote places for various applications (maritime sector, connected cars, trains, energy and agriculture) using the Smartellite™ solution, patented by hiSky, and its compact portable IoT device based on phased-array technology.
Pilot operations are to begin in which both companies will test and assess the Smartellite™ in combination with HISPASAT satellites that have Ka band. It is expected that the service will be available in 2018 at considerably lower prices than current market ones, thus offering an extremely attractive alternative for the MSS voice and data market and, above all, for the growing IoT market
COMMITMENT TO QUALITY
All of this effort to create increasingly more value for clients goes hand in hand with a profound commitment to quality.
HISPASAT has a Quality Policy and a Quality Management System that is regularly reviewed by the company’s board of directors, thus ensuring adaptation to any new organisational, environmental and market requirements that may arise. The system is certified in accordance with the ISO 9001 standard.
Moreover, HISPASAT conducts a survey every year to determine the degree of client satisfaction with the company. This year 222 HISPASAT clients took part, resulting in a Net Satisfaction Index (SNI) of 83.65%. One of the aspects most valued by HISPASAT clients was the company’s capacity to adapt to their needs.
