- Renewal of the contract to distribute Terrestrial Digital Television channels and associated services with Cellnex for the next ten years.
- Renewal of the distribution of RTVE channels in Latin America with Telefónica Audio-visual Services and AMC Networks’ channels for Spain and Portugal
- Renewal of the Federación de Organismos o Entidades de Radio y Televisión Autonómicos (Federation of Autonomous Radio and Television Organisms or Entities – FORTA) and the distribution service for TDT Autonómica with Telecom Castilla La Mancha
- New agreement to distribute the STN channel in Latin America.
- New agreement with SATLINK to provide services for the shipping line ARMAS, to offer connectivity aboard their ships in European coverage.
- Adding one of the main global maritime connectivity operators, Global Eagle, to our client portfolio in the region, with the leasing of capacity on the 30°W fleet.
- Renewal and expansion of the contract to supply maritime cover services in Europe and America with SYNTELIX for the next three years.
- Expansion of the connectivity service for RENFE’s high-speed trains.
- Agreements to market integrated satellite connectivity services based on a portable flat antenna with Swedish-American company OVZON.
- Agreement to lease Ku band capacity with Hisdesat, in order to provide control communications for non-piloted aircraft for a government customer.
CENTRAL AND NORTH AMERICA
- Agreement with Altán in Mexico to supply cellular backhaul services for the deployment of 730 new base stations by 2023. This represents around 4 Gbps of satellite connectivity, and makes it possible to offer voice and data services to over 3 million people with 4.5G LTE coverage.
- Renewal and expansion of the contract with Wavestream, part of the Gilat group, for the backhaul services for one of the main cellular operators in the United States, as well as for another regional cellular operator, using Ku band capacity from the Amazonas satellites.
- In Central America and the Caribbean, HISPASAT has worked hard to promote projects aimed at bridging the digital divide in the region and in the audiovisual market, and the contract to distribute and broadcast Cuban channels with ETECSA was renewed for several years.
- Renewal of capacity leasing contracts with various integrators that supply services to the Department of Defense (DoD) in the United States. Expansion of capacity for ISR aeronautical applications (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance).
SOUTH AMERICA
In Brazil:
- Renewal of the contract to lease capacity for corporate and backhaul services on the C and Ku bands of the Amazonas 3 satellite with Oi.
- Renegotiation of the contract for capacity leasing for the DTH service for this operator with Telefónica Brasil (VIVO). In addition, a contract has been signed to connect some 2,800 schools over a 5-year period using the powerful performance of the Ka band of the Amazonas 5 satellite.
- Deployment of satellite-connected WiFi hotspots with Brazilian operator EasyTV, and under the cooperation agreement with Facebook (although the speed of rollout has been affected by the pandemic).
- New contract to supply vehicle fleet management services with AUTOTRAC.
In Chile:
- Renewal of service contracts for the Chilean Navy, with AXESAT.
- Agreement to begin services on Ka band with SATLINK.
In Argentina:
- New contracts to supply corporate and backhaul services with TIWS.
- Agreement to bring 3G and 4G connectivity to 250 rural communities in Argentina, with Claro.
In Peru:
- Renewal of capacity with IPT (Internet for all), increase of corporate services with Speedcast and renewal of the Ku band backhaul service with Telefónica.
