Madrid, January 23, 2025.- Hispasat, the Spanish satellite communications operator, has reached an agreement with IOTLatam, a regional reference company focused on the IoT (Internet of Things) market, to incorporate this company's sensors and video cameras into its Tower Insight satellite infrastructure monitoring solution.
Continuous monitoring of cellular towers
Tower Insight, available in Latin America, Europe and Africa, allows for continuous monitoring of the status of cellular towers, no matter how remote their location, thanks to the information captured through sensors, which is sent via satellite to a web platform that can be integrated with the rest of the client's management tools. Alerts can be configured to facilitate incident prevention and correction tasks. This remote management solution is packaged, scalable and customizable -according to the specific needs of each client- and includes the deployment of energy, door opening, movement and refrigeration sensors, among others; as well as IP cameras that optimize perimeter and labor security in the premises.
Tower Insight represents a great leap forward in the field of telephony infrastructure monitoring, since the combined use of the Internet of Things and satellite technology allows continuous attention to be paid to an entire network of towers regardless of their geographic location. This has a positive impact on significant cost savings (as it reduces the number of trips to these towers) and on the speed in identifying and resolving incidents from the customer's control center.
